Police clampdown on hand-held mobile use whilst driving - 19/11/2004
Drivers caught using a hand-held mobile phone at the wheel will get three penalty points on their license and be fined £60 in a new clampdown.
The tougher penalties are a response to evidence that the original £30 fine brought in last year has done little to stop motorists using their phone whilst driving.
